PTE Academic, offered by Pearson - the world’s leading education company, is an English language test for international students wanting to study in an English-speaking country such as the UK. PTE Academic is recognized by institutions around the world and is accepted for immigration and visa purposes.
What? A computer-based test of English providing an overall score and sub-scores for listening, reading, speaking and writing.
How? PTE Academic is available throughout the year at Pearson test centers around the world. Registration is simple and done online.
Results? Scores are available online within 5 business days. Students can choose to send their scores to as many institutions as they wish at no extra cost. Most UK institutions will require a PTE Academic score in the range of 50-64. Some institutions may list a higher or lower score depending on the course.
